A Training Course on

Utility Price Reviews

November 12 - 16, Lusaka, 2007, Zambia

Course objective
Utilities in Africa, as elsewhere, need to price their services such that they can provide for their continuity and expansion while promoting quality. Given the essential nature of the services, the design of the tariffs and the prices paid by different consumer categories are subject to national policies and guidelines. The objective of the course is to acquaint the participants with the principles of efficient tariff design and the essential procedures for conducting price reviews.

Who should attend?
The course is designed to meet the needs of practising professionals in regulatory agencies, in electricity and water utilities and in government departments responsible for energy and water. The course will be limited to 30 participants to ensure good interaction with the course instructors and among the participants. Early registration is advised.

Fees
The course fee of US$1,500 per person covers tuition, course material, lunch and tea for the
duration for 5 days.
